Apple’S Ipad -An Attractive Touch Screen Device

Apple’S Ipad -An Attractive Touch Screen Device

Apple has just announced the looming release of the iPad, a touch screen device that could revolutionize the electronics industry. Apple says the Touch was meant mainly to present typical iPad features, not to replicate the iPhone, and it included the Web browser only so users could get onto Wi-Fi to use the mobile music store in certain places that required a log-in screen.

However, maybe it won’t but there is already an extremely bi-partisan view when it comes to liking the new iPad device. Here is a quick overview of what it will be all about. The iPad is essentially a moveable entertainment system. It allows you to watch movies, read ebooks and news stories, play games, listen to music, and also send email. It is sort of a souped up version of the iPod Touch, apart from a significantly larger display. With its full-color 9.7-inch screen, it matches the size of the Amazon Kindle DX (one of the largest-screened ebook readers at present on the market). The iPad weighs 1.5 pounds and, according to Apple, has 12 hours of battery life. The iPad can run most App Store apps, and its interface is similar to that of the iPod, so it’ll be an easy tool to use if you already have some familiarity with Apple’s latest products. If you like the iPod Touch and iPhone, you must like the iPad.

However, there is an additional feature that lets it act like a new type of ebook reader as well and now Apple has joined the battle of the eBook Readers. The iPad will allow you to read, download, and purchase publications and books in full color. That means you can read your favorite magazines and publications within full color. Like earlier iPads, the Touch is stylish and capable, and works smoothly with Apple’s free iTunes software for Windows and Macintosh PCs, as well as with its computer-based online iTunes Store, which sells far more downloaded songs and TV shows than any other legal outlet. This doesn’t mean that anyone in the market for an ebook reader will automatically select the iPad, though. The iPad kind of makes ebook readers on the market look ridiculous; however, they are totally different devices. IPads are computers that can dual as an ebook reader. It may be a tough sell to the person who just wants an ebook reader to spend the extra money for a “fantastic device”.

Getting to view all your videos, read all your books, listens to all your music, and play with all your games and apps. IPad will win several of fans. You can also download stuff with Wi-Fi connectivity; however the 3G capability is not available yet on the devices. In fact the iPad will work while others have failed. The touch screen tablet PC is not a new thing and In fact, many companies have failed in the past trying to make profit on these. In spite of these downsides, the Touch is a great media player, and the iPad remains the best end-to-end portable solution for playing and purchasing music and video.

No, the iPad is not at all like a laptop. Basically, it is like a big iPod touch. You can still write documents on it though.

To most of your answers, no. The iPad is a content consumption device with basically all the abilities of an iPod touch.

No, there are no USB ports or disc drives. No, you cannot install windows on it. It can only play games in the app store. You can watch videos on the screen, but it is 4:3 not 16:9.

@TheNollyOne Are you saying that Flash is good? I think not… the Flash software itself is buggy and unpredictable therefore making it a bad choice for Apple to use on the iPad because it will just become laggy. The Safari App (or any other app which will use flash) will most likely crash a lot if Flash was introduced into the mix.

Even though Flash can be good for certain things, it WILL greatly slow down most features of the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch.

I was ready to buy this with the 3g connection, but when I found out it doesn’t support Flash (which 80% of all video on the internet is flash), it was a dealbreaker. Sorry Mr. Jobs, but this was a HUGE mistake

Yep. Just like their automobiles, people want glossy toys which don’t require them to think about the world beyond their immediate personal ‘pod’ experience. And who can blame them? The world is full of pain and confusion. It is very comfortable to slip into a warm dream.

    Problem is. . ,

    Dreamers make great luncheon meat.

Dream on. The burn is still coming, except you’ll not be prepared for it.

It’s no coincidence that Star Trek was the dream of choice used in examples. A glossy lie.

There are thousands upon thousands of books to choose from on apple's iBooks store, but you also have the option of downloading amazon's kindle and a couple of other book apps. The only problem I have with it is the price. You can't exactly use a coupon. There are some free books to choose from, like classics and stuff that no one really reads a lot unless it is for class, and you can also download a free sample of a book before purchasing it. I'm kinda on the fense about how I feel about apple's iBooks. I really prefer it to others, but the price is what gets me, but if you are an avid reader like me, you can't really go wrong. And almost all publishing companies have books available on iBooks, but as for the exact number… I really don't know it isn't listed on iBooks. But a rough estimate is around 12-14 thousand

I gurantee you half the nay-Sayers of iPad have either never used it and too lazy to try it out or just plain dumb. No flashplayer? So what, there’s an app for that (YouTube people). I don’t hear any complaints about the battery life and everything else good about it. Stop pointing out the flaws and try it out please.

DANNY never got an iPad he is just a frustrated guy.He said he paid 15% restocking fees but restocking fees for iPad return is 10%.

    Now coming to the question:

Yes it has built in speakers which is pretty decent. It also has headphone jack. I got a headphone splitter so two people can put earphones on.

Headphone jack is regular and any headphone/earbud will work so no worries and yes it's very thin and I love my iPad to death. you can watch almost every TV show online for free. And watch movies free online or you can also stream movie from Netflix.

It iPad version of MS Office which is amazing.

Don't forget to get iPad case coz case gives you an angle that makes typing a pleasure. It also works as stand to watch videos.

How would any one know this since the device is not out yet? Maybe you could hot-glue it there…
