A Breakdown Of The Current Wireless Internet Technologies

With all of the craze going on these days with Internet technologies, there comes a time when people need to step away from the table and really see everything that is on their plates. The modern world is currently moving at an incredibly rapid pace; the second a product comes out, a new and better product is released a few days later.

Whether it is a revolutionary computer operating system, a new feature on Google or a new techno-savvy product from Apple, people are starting to get a bit boggled down with all the choices and options out these days.  If a birthday of a loved one comes up, what should be purchased as a gift?  Should people jump at the opportunity to purchase the newest computer, or should they wait a few months for a newer, more efficient product to be released?

It is questions like these that require in-depth descriptions of certain products.  Therefore, here is a list of a few of the amazing wireless Internet items currently available that are entirely revolutionizing the industry.

Mobile Air Cards  – With everyone jumping on 3G and 4G networks, this product is able to connect any laptop to the World Wide Web at super fast speeds.  Either connecting to the computer through a USB port or a PCMCIA slot – that credit card looking product – those Internet cards are a great thing to look into for anyone using their computer on the go.  Although Wi-Fi hot spots are found almost all over the place, when you really need to access the Internet, you just cannot seem to find one.  With this item, you will always be able to stay connected.

Smart phones – Out of all the new technological innovative products to hit the shelves, none of them have received quite as much attention as smart phones.  Whether the Iphone or the Blackberry, smart phones have become the one product that every businessman, no matter in what industry, possesses. Combining a camera, a cell phone, text messaging and WiMax internet, the phone allows users to check their email, download documents and conduct business whether in the office or on the go. Real Estate appraisers have really taken a liking to this product, which allows them to set up showings for houses or warehouses while on the road, meeting clients and making connections.

The Apple Ipad – Although the smart phone has been dominating the scene over the last year or two, the recent release of the Apple Ipad is about to take its place in the spotlight.  Coming out only a few weeks ago, the Ipad is basically a giant laptop without a keyboard, allowing users to organize their music, photos and documents through the use of a touch screen. Utilizing wireless Internet, the device was designed for optimal Internet navigation without the use of any additional hardware.  Not to mention that the price of the item is not too expensive, around the $500 range, so purchasing one as a gift is a pretty realistic task, even in today’s economy.

That depends on what courses you're taught there, and also on what your graduation diploma says.

Most, if not all laptops that you will buy these days have Wi-Fi capabilities built in them.

Ipod Touch's have Wi-Fi capabilites built in them.

These devices will connect to wireless networks that you can find in homes, at coffee shops, airports, hotels, malls, and the list will keep growing and growing.

Not all of these places have free Wi-Fi, a great example is Starbuck's and McDonalds both have 'Wi-Fi' stickers on their front doors but when you try connecting they will ask you for a credit card or other way to pay.

Other places do offer free Wi-Fi such as libraries, locally owned coffee shops and other stores and Dairy Queens(around me).

    So to answer your questions:
Is there always a fee to have to pay for this service?
    No, not always.

How about if you only use it in places that advertise free Wi-Fi?
If they say it's free then it should be.

And if there is a fee about how much is it?
The price will vary from place to place. Maybe 4.99 an hour, Maybe 10.99 for unlimited access for a month.

    Good Luck,
    -Rick

I think you already have a topic i.e.

"The Role & Value of Internet Technology in Modern Marketing – A Review of Perspectives & Prospects for the Future"

You can research the variety of opinions "for" and "against" the role and value of internet technology in marketing and build your dissertation around these perspectives or 'themes', in what I call a "thematic dissertation".

    Good luck.
